Pastured chickens and turkeys (and a few guineas and a goose)!

After a successful 1st year of raising pastured poultry in 2022, we decided to do it again this year!

The full details can be found in our order form but a quick breakdown is as follows:

Chicken - - whole— $5 per lb (average weight is 4 to 6 lbs)

Chickens - - cut up—$5 per lb PLUS a $3.50 fee for extra processing costs

Turkeys - - whole — $6 per lb (weights are from 15 to 20 lbs)

Guineas - - whole — $6 per lb

Goose - - whole — $7 per lb

Livers, feet and necks may be available as well

The poultry we raise are:

NEVER treated with antibiotics, hormones, or synthetic medicines

We seek to raise our birds in the healthiest environment possible. A sign of success is that they just stay healthy and don’t need any kind of medical treatments. That’s why, from the time they’re old enough to get around and stay warm, they’ll be living in our specialized Chicken Tractors where they have green grass underfoot 24/7.

Free-range their whole life and pastured on grass as soon as they are old enough.

Never confined to tight cages, our birds are free to run around and interact with each other from the day they arrive on our farm. As soon as they are big enough, they are moved from their cozy brooder house to our home-made “Chicken (or turkey or goose) Tractors”, mobile pens that we move to fresh pasture every day so the birds stay clean and have grass, weeds, and bugs to pick at all day long.

Fed Organic feed their whole lives

The feed we give them is certified Organic, antibiotic-free, GMO-free, corn-free, soy-free, and made from grains grown right here in the Mid-West.

Lovingly cared for from day one

Yes, the reason we get these birds is for our food eventually. But we farmers know how to love and enjoy our animals at all stages, and yet still say goodbye without regrets when the end comes. Aren’t they cute when they’re so little and fluffy?

Professionally processed

When the time comes, we take the birds to a local meat processor. We pick them up after they are frozen, bring them back to our farm, and store them in our freezer until you are ready to come get them. You know exactly how fresh your meat is! That’s farm-to-table as it should be.
